One Enjoyable Ride always Leads to Another!

Most people don’t ride motorcycles but for those who do, being stuck without one in an area while on holiday and not be able to visit as many areas as possible can be frustrating.  Some of us find it more enjoyable and challenging to ride our own bike and travel, alone, hundreds of kilometres each way just to experience the ride of a lifetime, thinking that it may be our first and last adventure ride, only to realize later that we are again doing a much longer and more adventurous one. After we’ve done the long distance adventure rides that we can handle then comes the realization that it’s about time to take it easy. But the urge to travel will always be there. We then find ourselves flying to other destinations instead of riding all the way to where we are going because we already know that there are motorcycles available for rent thereabouts, albeit on a limited scale as far as engine displacement and models to choose from are concerned. But it really doesn’t matter because wha...

Our Northern Antique Motorbike Ride

Image
We just came home from a 290 km. round-trip ride on a Yamaha Mio Soul 125 motorcycle which covered nearly all of the major towns in Northern Antique. We left San Jose at 0630H and arrived in Culasi at 0805H where we stopped at a 7-11 store at for light breakfast.  After 15 minutes we departed for Pandan and headed straight to Malumpati Springs for a dip in its cool, clear waters. We then transferred to Naranjo Water Park, a  resort situated along Bughang River, one of, if not the cleanest river in the country. Since Phaidon White Beach Resort is just 15 minutes away, we decided to proceed there after Naranjo to take some photos of the whole property that feature new structures/amenities which they added to enhance the over-all appearance and accommodation/service standards of the resort. Next stop was the village of Tuno in Tibiao, the site of the first, and still the only white-water kayaking and rafting activities in Panay Island and where the Kawa (giant pot) hot bath was ...

Solo Ride - San Jose, Antique to Iloilo and Guimaras, vice versa

Image
I started my inter-province motorcycle trip at 0530H on May 8, 2018 and covered roughly 250 kilometers,  round-trip. It took me two hours to reach Iloilo City from San Jose, Antique, about 97 kilometers distance. Before going to the boat terminal, I had a light breakfast at Jolibee and boarded the outrigger boat with my 125cc XRM motorbike which had to be carried on and off the boat by porters. The boat trip lasted for about 15 minutes until we got to the Jordan boat terminal where I again mounted my tough iron horse and rode straight to the village of Oracon Norte, Guimaras. The reason for my trip was to accompany a Department of Agrarian Reform field personnel to inspect our late parents farm for clearance purposes before the ownership transfer process in our favor is approved. We had a tummy-friendly lunch at a seafood restaurant at Alibjon, Guimaras, after which I rode back to Jordan Boat Terminal for my return trip to Iloilo City, and to finally ride my bike back to San Jose...

DIY Motorcycle Adventure Trek

Image
Many of us who live here in Panay, or even those from beyond, have always dreamt of riding around the island on our choice of modern, easy-to-ride, nice looking motorcycles, to be able to visit all the four provinces that it hosts, namely Antique, Aklan, Capiz , and Iloilo.   Region 6, where the Island lies, also includes Guimaras Island which has some of its own unique tourist sites as well. Some of us who have the means have always wanted to own, let alone, ride a motorcycle, but given the choice between two-wheeled and four wheeled vehicles, the obvious choice for most of those who can afford is the latter, for the kind of comfort and convenience that it offers.   But what about your dream adventure ride on two wheels if all you have is a four wheeler?   This is where EzeeRyder motorbike rentals service comes in, to help turn your quest for adventure into reality.      Renting a motorbike gives you the flexibility, within a l...

Ensuring a Safe and Enjoyable Motorcycle Ride

Image
Riding around the countryside on a motorcycle offers a better perspective of what the Philippines has to offer in terms of scenery, enjoyment, and gaining a truly unique holiday experience. It also considerably shortens the time of travel from one point to another, especially when you have to negotiate the busy roadside activities and traffic of a major town or city along the way. Things can turn out bad, though, if one is not careful and disregard traffic /safety rules. On your next motorcycle ride around the Philippine countryside, especially in and around the islands of Panay, Negros, Ceby, Bohol, and Palawan, the following reminders should come in handy when you travel using your motorcycle.      The Philippines offers something different in terms of road conditions and availability of and motorbike fuel/service stations en route, hence, it is always good practice to first h ave your motorcycle checked by a certified mechanic, especially if ...

Riding around Panay by Motorcycle

Image
Panay island is made up of 4 Provinces, namely Antique, Aklan, Capiz, and Iloilo. The island province of Guimaras on the southeast, which reinforces the strategic importance of the region as a tourism destination, is just about 15 minutes by boat from Iloilo City.  Panay and Guimaras Islands have a good number of highly popular heritage sites, foremost of which are Boracay Island, white sandy beach coves and rock formations, Spanish-era churches,  and old residential and commercial structures to visit and enjoy.  There are also  islands with white sandy beaches on the eastern side of Iloilo that are gradually attracting hordes of foreign and local tourists.  As fishing is a major industry in Panay Island, there are almost always fish dishes available on the table. Fresh veggies, beef, pork, and poultry are also readily available.  Riding from one point to another anywhere in Panay and Guimaras is truly an exhilarating and unforgettable experience....
